Burt Enterprises has no overseas employees or operations. Furthermore, all of the Company's direct suppliers are United States based companies and subject to United States law. Nonetheless, the Company is taking measures to address those issues within its supply chain.
Verification: Beginning in 2014, the Company submitted to its key suppliers a "Supplier Social Accountability Disclosure Form". The 2014 form addressed child and forced labor. Beginning in 2015, the form will also specifically address human trafficking and slavery. The Company reserves the right to conduct its own audits and verifications or have such performed by independent third parties.
Audit: The Company reserves the right to conduct audits (scheduled or unannounced) of any prospective or existing suppliers, either with its own employees or with independent third party auditors, for any reason, including to ensure compliance with the Company's Supplier Social Accountability Disclosure Form or all applicable laws regarding child labor, forced labor, slavery or human trafficking.
网赚资源Certification: The Company requires its key suppliers to certify that they are in compliance with all applicable local, regional and federal labor requirements regarding child and forced labor. The Company also requires its suppliers to certify that they have engaged in verification activities to identify and manage the risks of human trafficking and slavery in compliance with all applicable laws, including the California Supply Chain Transparency Act.
Accountability: The Company expects and requires all of its employees to abide by the John R. Burt Enterprises Corporate Governance Statement and to abide by all applicable laws. Failure to abide by either is cause for discipline in accordance with Company policy. Similarly, the Company expects our business partners and suppliers to abide by all applicable laws, including all local, regional or federal laws related to child labor, forced labor, slavery or human trafficking. Beginning in 2015, if the Company has any good reason to believe that a business partner or supplier has failed to adhere to any applicable laws addressing child labor, forced labor, slavery or human trafficking, then the Company will promptly address the issue, up to and including immediate termination of the contract.
Training: Beginning in 2015 all employees, managers and executives who are directly responsible for supply chain management will receive training to address the issues and risks of child labor, forced labor, slavery and human trafficking within the supply chain. All attendees will be required to certify that they have received such training from the Company.
